Below are a few tracks from my first album, released in June 2024 featuring Martin Williams - Tenor Saxophone, Matt Winch - Trumpet, Steve Hamilton - Piano & Laurence Cottle - Electric Bass. The album was aptly titled ‘About Time’. Here is a track by pianist James Williams entitled Alter Ego.

Another piece from my solo album ‘About Time’, this is a track which was originally recorded by the great band Steps Ahead on an album that was hugely inspirational to me, Modern Times. This album featured the wonderful Peter Erskine on drums.

Below is a link to the documentary Musicmakers, An oral history of London’s Session Musicians. I was grateful to be asked to play drums on some of the music featured here filmed live at RAK Studios in St John’s Wood, London. Sadly this turned out to be the last session that the legendary bassist Mo Foster played on shortly before he passed away. The documentary turned out to be a wonderful tribute to Mo. 🙏🏻

Here is a video playing ‘If I Play My Cards Right’, by the mighty Tower of Power.

This was arranged for by the great UK bassist Laurence Cottle for his big band. This was fun to play too… Here I tried to play my take on this track, whilst at the same time acknowledging the original drum track performed by the great David Garibaldi with Tower of Power.
