The World's Greatest Drummer Concert.
The WGD concerts have grown each year into one of the most anticipated events of the UK drumming calendar. The concert celebrates the great forefathers of modern drumming and features Ian's long time friend Pete Cater, along with his fifteen-piece big band made up of a selection of the UK's finest session musicians.
Over the ten years of these concerts, we have drew together a selection of the world's finest drummers, including Garry Allcock, Steve Barney, Pete Ray Biggin, Karl Brazil, Jon Brookes*, Neil Bullock, Keith Carlock, Steve Gadd, Benny Greb, Gary Husband, Mark Mondesir, Darrin Mooney, Ian Paice, Steve Smith, Jeremy Stacey, Steve White, Neal Wilkinson.
*Always with gratitude to one of my best friends Jon Brookes (21 September 1968 - 13 August 2013) who was one of the driving forces helping me to get these concerts started.
